Laredo is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Laredo is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. If you want to see the difference between a "corporate warehouse" and a true community pillar, just walk into Dr. Ikeβs. The customer service here is night and day compared to the big box stores. At Home Depot or Lowe's, you're lucky to get a shrug. at Dr. Ikeβs, the experience is personalized, professional, and actually helpful. I found exactly what I needed at a better price without having to play hide and seek with the staff. Plus, actually earning shopping points on things I need for work is a huge win. And letβs be honest, the extra buttery popcorn alone is worth the trip!!! After reading about the Epstein familyβs history and their contributions to Laredo, itβs clear why this place works. They aren't just selling hardware, they are serving their community. Itβs a well thought out, local establishment that knows how to treat people right. If you think Home Depot is your only option, do yourself a favor and come here instead. Youβll get better service, better prices, and youβll be supporting a family that actually gives back to the community!

Update. Returned to the store and Robert was able to rectify situation satisfactory. Day shift staff were more accommodating... Original post "Store is garbage. They refused an even exchange couple hours after purchasing. Product was defective out of the box. Forced to pay a few dollars more for a different model. Left original purchase on counter... Bad customer service. Worse resolution. Buyer beware. Big box store like home depot or lowes would not question the exchange or would have just issued a full refund. I just wanted a working device. I didn't expect to pay twice to get 1 worked. Good job. Felt abusive to be swarmed by 3 or 4 associates at customer service for a simple 25.00 purchase."

I bought a thick metal chain. I asked the employee helping in that department for a chain that can be outside in the rain or sun and will not rust. He told me to get one of the most expensive one they had. I purchased the one recommended and the chain rusted bad with the first rain. I had purchased one chain previously at Home Depot and I've had it for 1 year with no rust. I like to shop at Ikes but the chains seem like lower quality.
